DAN RIGAZZI

Dan Rigazzi has been directing theater and opera for twenty years—from Shakespeare and Puccini to contemporary plays and musicals. In addition to his work at theaters and universities around the country, Dan has been on the Directing Staff at the Metropolitan Opera since 2008. 

In 2018, he made his debut at Opera Omaha, directing I Pagliacci and at Tangelwood, directing La Bohème in Concert with Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This season's highlights include assisting Bart Sher at La Scala with Romeo et Juliette, and directing the revival of La Cenerentola at the Met. He is an alumus of the Drama League Directors Project and the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
